Boards & Committees

Board Members

GET INVOLVED!

The daily operations of Associated Students are guided by student-directed run Boards & Committees. These legislative bodies determine the content and direction of AS programs and services that are provided for the students and staff at SDSU. The responsibilities of the Board & Committee members include but are not limited to: establishing budgets, improving diversity, planning fun events, recognizing faculty, students and staff for their achievements, and developing plans for the future of AS programs and services. In addition, AS works collaboratively with the Division of Student Affairs at SDSU to ensure a diverse student inclusion in the decision making for important University offices and departments, such as: student health, counseling, and student housing. This is done through AS Advisory Boards, which provide advice and direction from the student perspective.

Joining a Board or Committee is a great way to get started in AS student government! It enables you to have your voice heard and to increase your awareness of what is happening on campus. There are many opportunities to network with other students as well as faculty and staff. Joining a Board or Committee can propel you into a future with student government at SDSU. The time commitment is minimal yet the impact on the University is vast. To sign up for a Board or Committee fill out and submit the online application today, or stop by the Government Affairs Office, lower level of the Aztec Center, and pick one up!

It's a great day to be an AZTEC!
