Homecoming

SDSU Homecoming

WELCOME

Dear SDSU Students & Organization Members,

Homecoming 2008 is just around the corner and the Associated Students, Cultural Arts & Special Events Board (CASE), has been working hard all summer in an effort to bring you a memorable, fun-filled Homecoming experience. This year’s Homecoming Week hosts the theme:

JUNGLE!!!!

For Homecoming to be the best experience for all at San Diego State University, we would like to ask all SDSU students & student organizations for your participation. This website is your guide for participation in this week of SDSU pride. I would like to take this opportunity to inform you about the contents of these webpages, and to confirm important dates so that your organization may celebrate with us in this time-honored tradition.

Homecoming Week will be October 20-25; and, as is our purpose, we are proud to present diverse and entertaining events throughout the Homecoming Week for you, your organizations, and San Diego State.

Any student or organization may participate in each contest. First, second, and third-place points will be given to the top three point-earning Homecoming Week organizations. The majority of the points (50 for each contest) will be for participation which is the main focus.

Please note that there are two mandatory meetings, Sept. 22nd and Oct. 13th in the Aztec Center Backdoor (lower Aztec Center), for your representative to attend. These two meetings go over important information and deadlines which will help your organization successfully compete for the SDSU Homecoming Spirit Trophy. This trophy will be awarded to the winning organization during the Aztecs Homecoming Game on October 25th at Qualcomm Stadium, along with permanent plaques to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winning organizations.

If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact me in the CASE office at (619) 594-6487 or leave me a message in at the AS Business Office, Room 168, Lower Level of Aztec Center. So have fun and enjoy the best Homecoming Week ever! I look forward to working with all of you to make Homecoming 2008 successful, fun, and memorable.

Sincerely,

Michael Zamudio
