Zombieland

Advanced Film Screening: Zombieland

Wednesday, September 23: doors open at 7:30pm, Aztec Center Montezuma Hall

The horror comedy Zombieland focuses on two men who have found a way to survive a world overrun by zombies. Columbus is a big wuss -- but when you're afraid of being eaten by zombies, fear can keep you alive. Tallahassee is an AK-toting, zombie-slaying' bad ass whose single determination is to get the last Twinkie on earth. As they join forces with Wichita and Little Rock, who have also found unique ways to survive the zombie mayhem, they will have to determine which is worse: relying on each other or succumbing to the zombies.

Free tickets available at the Aztec Center Information Booth for all SDSU students, faculty and staff with valid Red ID.

Capitalism: A Love Story

Advanced Film Screening: Capitalism: A Love Story (A Michael Moore Documentary!)

Thursday, September 24: doors open at 7pm, Aztec Center Montezuma Hall

With both humor and outrage, Michael Moore's Capitalism: A Love Story explores a taboo question: What is the price that America pays for its love of capitalism? Years ago, that love seemed so innocent. Today, however, the American dream is looking more like a nightmare as families pay the price with their jobs, their homes and their savings. Moore takes us into the homes of ordinary people whose lives have been turned upside down; and he goes looking for explanations in Washington, DC and elsewhere. What he finds are the all-too-familiar symptoms of a love affair gone astray: lies, abuse, betrayal...and 14,000 jobs being lost every day. Capitalism: A Love Story is both a culmination of Moore's previous works and a look into what a more hopeful future could look like. It is Michael Moore's ultimate quest to answer the question he's posed throughout his illustrious filmmaking career: Who are we and why do we behave the way that we do?

Free tickets available at the Aztec Center Information Booth for all SDSU students, faculty and staff with valid Red ID.
