Event Parking

Parking Structures and Lots

Parking at the Open Air Theatre is free of charge.  Overnight parking is not allowed in any university parking structure or lot.*

  • Parking Structure 3 is located southeast of the OAT.  Garage clearance is 6 ’10”.
  • Parking Structure 6 is located southeast of the OAT.  Garage clearance is 8’.  Disabled parking is also available in this lot.

If you have questions or comments, please contact our management office at (619) 594-0234.  Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM and on event days.

Driving Directions

  • From the East:  Take I-8 West to College Avenue and turn left.  Take College Avenue south approximately 1 mile and turn left at Montezuma Road.  Take next left at East Campus Drive to structures 3 and 6.
  • From the West: Take I-8 East to College Avenue and turn right.  Take College Avenue south approximately 1 mile and turn left at Montezuma Road.  Take next left at East Campus Drive to structures 3 and 6.

Trolley Information

Service to San Diego State University is provided by San Diego Trolley's Green Line.  For selected special events including concerts and SDSU basketball, extra service will be operated after the event.  Most concerts will end by 11:00 p.m. and extra eastbound trains will depart at 11:22 p.m. and 11:52 p.m.  Westbound service will operate a normal schedule with the last train departing toward Old Town at 11:47 p.m.

Cox Arena is west of the San Diego State University Transit Center.
